Native Charlestonian Chelsea Handegan holds a Master of Arts degree in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2013, she joined Amelia T. Handegan, Inc., working on both residential and commercial projects locally, nationally, and internationally. As a senior designer, she has overseen the designs of such projects as a Bahamian residence, Montana ranch, 1791 Charleston single house, Lowcountry plantation, and luxury yacht.

Chelsea launched her eponymous studio in 2019 with an aim to develop long-lasting relationships and create beautiful, comfortable designs that endure for generations. Chelsea Handegan LLC has a vast network of trusted and highly specialized resources and maintains professional relationships with a wide range of dealers and workrooms. The firm offers comprehensive design solutions from conception - including traditional construction details, techniques, and operations - to installation.

In 2023, Chelsea was selected to lifestyle and design magazine Frederic’s inaugural It List, which honored thirteen up-and-coming interior designers.

She resides in her hometown with her husband and young daughter.
